1. The service

IBAN Toolkit provides free browser-based tools that generate random test banking data (IBANs, BIC codes, routing numbers, sort codes, account numbers, SEPA QR codes) and validate user-supplied values. All processing happens on your device.

2. Acceptable use

You may use the tools for lawful software development, testing, QA, and education. You may not use generated data to deceive any person or institution, impersonate account holders, submit to real financial systems, or facilitate fraud. Misuse is a violation of these terms and may be unlawful.

3. No warranty

Tools are provided “as is.” While formats follow official registries, we do not guarantee error-free output, and generated values must be independently verified before any consequential use. We are not liable for decisions made using this site.

4. Not financial advice

Nothing on this site is financial, legal, or banking advice.

5. Intellectual property

Site design and explanatory content are ours; generated test values are yours to use freely. The QR library embedded on the SEPA page is MIT-licensed open source by its respective author.

6. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Testing and educational use. Generated identifiers are synthetic and are not checked against live bank directories. A randomly generated value can coincidentally resemble or match a real identifier. Never use generated data for real payments, account applications, identity verification, or to represent a real person or institution.
